Triplejack

There is nothing better than playing a ‘free’ online game and winning prizes as you go at it against a huge base of players from different countries. It’s even better when it’s customized to your preferences, and records your history ever since you start the game. You add the fact that it’s put on a GUI that is one of the best and most user-friendly out there, say that it’s for hold’em poker, and voila! You’ve got one of the best online card games I have ever come across.

Triplejack Main

When hold’em poker first came out on TV a few years ago, it was an immediate hit. It’s popularity grew instantly, and even back here in the Philippines, there were tournaments everywhere, and that’s in your local casinos and in your own backyard! So I tried looking for an online game that would let me play this game at home, and I actually tried those big name gambling sites, all to no avail as the draw from how it looked and felt was just not right. Then I came across Triplejack and never played anything else after.

Triplejack Game Play

This developers of this site have created one of the best online games out there. Very light-weight, and I believe running on Java, it allows you to play hold’em poker online and it’s a ton of fun. I say ‘free’ up there, because there are a few ways you can actually win prizes without having to pay for anything. In the game, there is such a thing as a power player status, which allows you to play the game with all the bells and whistles, just like those who actually shelled out cash to play it that way. The difference is, if you’re good enough, there are free tournaments within the game itself that allow you to win this kind of prize. And if you do, you’re allowed to play like a paying player, and be able to win prizes just like they can.

Triplejack Lounge

You may ask how much the game is if you wanted to actually play it with all the features included. It only costs $5.95 a month as a basic package. There are $29.95 packages for 6 months, and $54.95 for a year. That’s actually very cheap for the kind of experience you will have when you play this game. I guarantee you that you will LOVE this game, and you’ll come back and thank me after hehe! :)

Triplejack Schedules

Take a look at the screenshots above for a few good looks at the game. Registration is of course free, really fast and very simple. The greatest thing about it also is that there are daily free tournaments that allow non-paying players to join and win actual cash, and options to be a power player, or win other kinds of prizes (see above). The schedules are also on the site itself on the exact date and time. It’s just hands-down one of the best game environments online, so just click HERE and try it out!

Penny Arcade Adventures: Precipice of Darkness Episode One

Games No Comments »

I haven’t really played any RPG type games in a long time, but when I saw this one, I just had to try it. And boy am I glad I did. For those of you who like humorous, great story-line, well-made games, built into a small world for you to play around, this is definitely the game for you.

Precipice 1

Reviews say that this game is most similar to what was then the popular Sam and Max game (which I really hated), but I see this to be much closer to the Monkey Island games by LucasArts. Now that was a great game. So if you’re into the King’s Quest, Indiana Jones, type of games around 10 years ago, you will thoroughly enjoy this one. I had played the first 10 minutes of the game, and was in awe of how great the “simple” 2D graphics were joined into the 3D ones. The mix of these two were a great thought, and adds to how much more enjoyable the game is. What makes the game even better though, is the great plot and the hilarious dialogue across the entire storyline.

Precipice 2

The game is made by Hothead Games and Penny Arcade, and is simply a masterpiece. It is the first installment in the RPG game series based on the web comic Penny Arcade. You can create your own character in the classic comic style, and be able to combat a myriad of enemies, solve mysteries, meet bizarre new characters, and enjoy the distinctive adult humor of this one-of-a-kind adventure. The pictures here are some game scenes and attack screenshots, pretty cool and nifty, don’t you think? :)

Precipice 3

So if you’re convinced that this is a game worth trying out, there are two links you will need to go to. The first one HERE, sends you to a page with 3 separate links that you need to download. These are RAR files, and you will need to download all 3 then unpack them to be able to grab the entire game. The second one HERE, is the crack you need to play the registered version. You need to overwrite the .exe file in the folder where you installed the actual game. Once you do this, you should be able to play the entire game properly. Enjoy!

TypeRacer: How Fast can you Type?

Games No Comments »

I’ve always loved typing games, because I think I’m a pretty fast typer :) I had this experience in a call center before, when they tested how fast we typed, and that would be a big gauge if we were to be hired. This was around 2001, and I had typed I think 95 words per minute. The instructor thought there was a glitch in the computers and had them reset. So I typed again and went for 98 words per minute. So they offered me the job… and of course, I declined.

In any case, I came across this “online” game called TypeRacer, where you are a car and there is a paragraph you need to type out. You will be competing with anyone else in the world who is typing on the same selection that you are typing on. So in the picture here, I won the race with 109 words per minute! Awesome right?? But noo, there’s a person who actually typed 213 words per minute!

So it’s pretty fun for a while, then you realize how insane it is that there are actually people who can type 200+ words per minute?!? I can’t even fathom how that is possible! So how fast do you type? Click HERE to find out and play the game :)

The World’s Hardest Game

Games No Comments »

This actually comes from one of my favorite sites called Addicting Games. Before when I used to have a ton of time to burn, I used to visit the site often and find quite a few amusing games that you need to keep playing because you refuse to believe you can’t beat the darn level. Video game geeks like myself (before at least), have the need to prove something to inanimate games, and that is we do not lose to them! Hehe!

Impossible Game!

Here’s a new one, it’s called The World’s Hardest Game. It’s a pretty simple game, you are a red box and you need to gather all the yellow boxes on screen by navigating with your keyboard using the arrow keys and try to move to the green box, which is your beacon to the next level. The game is very enjoyable and challenging, as it tests your timing and reflexes, not to mention your patience!

Don’t blame me if you start shouting in your room because you can’t get past Level 23 like me. I was stuck in Level 10 for a while, but got to this damn level, and I probably died more than 150 times already and I still can’t even get close to finishing it. So this is just IMPOSSIBLE! If anyone can get past this level, please tell me how :(
