While the death of Dr. Lawrence Kutner from the hit-show House was a total shocker to fans young and old, the real question was WHY he died. The most straight-out answer is that he shot himself and committed suicide. The big question though, is whether he really did kill himself or if he might have been murdered. By whom, how, and why, is the question I’m sure everyone is dying to find out in the next episode.
Kal Penn, of the big screen hit comedy Harold and Kumar, is NOT dead in real life. It’s funny how many House fans thought that he did when I tried looking through the Net to figure out why they killed him off. I guess it speaks volumes of how good he was able to portray his character that his death in the show actually had people believe that he could have died in real life. So again, Kal Penn is alive but Dr. Lawrence Kutner is definitely dead.
So the big question is, WHY was Kutner killed off the show! The answer is actually pretty simple. Kal Penn had been actively campaigning for President Obama back in 2007 to 2008 and contributed largely in energizing the Obama Express with his blogs and other social media tools. His loyalty has been aptly rewarded now as Obama offered him the position of Associate Director in the White House Office of Public Liason.
That’s quite an honor isn’t it? So as livid as we all are that he’s been killed off in House (and this show will never be the same without him), it’s very nice to see an actor like Kal Penn be rewarded like he has. Outside of that, let’s see how the producers of the show move the storyline on the cause of his death! DONT CARE FOR OBAMA BECAUSE HE IS TURNING THIS COUNTRY INTO A HELL HOLE BUT IT STINKS TO SEE KAL GO OFF THE SHOW. WE REALLY DO NEED A NEW PRESIDENT THOUGH.ONE WHO CARES ABOUT THE USA AND NOT ONLY ABOUT HIMSELF. BESIDES , OBAMA DONT WANT ANY WAR WITH THE MUSLIMS BECAUSE HE IS A MUSLIM HIMSELF. haha, yeah it stinks to see kal leave the show. reading from what you’ve just said, there’s a one-hour show on obama, i think its called the obama deception, might be your cup of tea, but i’m pretty sure you’ve already seen it. just in case you haven’t, you should go watch it

it’s okay, i was wondering the same thing and was looking for a reasonable explanation why. how they did it was kind of unfair to his character to me though.

You do realize that many people are not actually answering the question. The question is why Kutner died, not why Kal Penn left the show.. The person who wrote the script could as well make House fire Kutner for some dumb reason or something, but he shot himself, again, the question is WHY? He seemed happy, satisfied, had “passions” as house said. So far I have not found a logical explanation why he would commit suicide IN THE SHOW. If you’re going to respond, please do not say he had to go to the white house.

It is simple. There is no logic explanation for his death – that is the point. House is a about rationality, all can be explained one way or the other – this cannot. It is obvious no?
