If you have ever been approached by your heartbroken girl friends in confidence, telling you how stupid they were for letting ONE guy ruin their lives, then you know as much as I do that it will always be the guy’s fault, even if that is not always necessarily the case. But let’s look at it through that perspective for now.
From all of those listening sessions, I can clearly say that you, as the girl, can really save yourself the trouble sometimes and be more wary of what you are getting into. So here’s a blog that talks about the 5 types of guys in relationships. It was funny when I thought of how to present this. I told a good friend of mine that I planned to put his face right beside the number of what type of guy I thought he was. Of course, he was adamant that I didn’t, because of very obvious reasons. So as tempted as I am to still do it, I will try my best not to.

So what kind of guy are you with now? Well, there are a lot of different types, but in my experience, these are the 5 most common kinds. Hopefully, after you read this, you would have figured out what kind of guy you are actually with, and whether he’s the right one for you or not. So here they are in random order:

If you’re a sweet-tooth and desserts are your thing, then you definitely need to appease your taste buds in Frostings. With twenty-five different cupcake flavors to choose from, all brought in FRESH from Bulacan everyday, it is indeed a haven for dessert lovers. It also has a cupcake of the month, with the Sans Rival as the September highlight for cupcake number 25. My fiancee and I were doing our wedding registry in Rustan’s and chanced upon the kids section on the 3rd floor and could not take our eyes off this small nook. Who could with a dessert display with cupcakes that look like this?

Their commitment is that their cupcakes are labors of love, baked fresh daily using only the finest ingredients from the freshest milk to the purest Belgian chocolate, and the freshest seasonal fruits. That I could not disagree with as every single cupcake I saw looked amazingly delicious. They also separated their cupcakes by category, with the cheapest ones at 35 pesos called Regular, made with boiled icing. Their Premium cupcakes are at 50 pesos made with butter-cream icing, Fruit at 60 pesos, and Extra Premium (those with liqueur) priced at 70 pesos. A rather delectable treat at a very good price for the quality it is made from.

I had wanted to try the Ube Macapuno fruit cupcake, but when I went back for it, there were none left! My fiancee wanted to try the Sans Rival flavor of the month cupcake, but it was also gone when we came back! That’s probably the only downside as there are going to be 8 cupcakes each displayed, and it didn’t look like they could re-fill when one flavor is finished. So my Ube Macapuno craving will have to wait until my next visit. What we did try out was the Mango Caramel and it tasted divine. There is nothing like food that looks absolutely delicious but then taste even better than you imagined it to be. So I can barely wait to get a taste of the actual ones that I wanted to try out. That should be an even better experience.

So for those of you who are sold with the pictures you see above, hehe, they have three current branches as they moved from The Block in Quezon City before. The have one in the 3rd floor in Robinsons Galleria, another in the 3rd floor in Shangri-la Rustans, and the last branch also in the 3rd floor of Rustans Makati. There’s something about 3′s here that seems peculiar, hehe. They can also be contacted at 983-3880 and 983-7064, and they even do special order cupcakes designed for particular occassions. Definitely a MUST for everyone who likes a good, sorry, an awesome dessert, and I can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed

A friend of mine mentioned to me that there was this really good burger joint in Makati called Burger Avenue. So I believed her and gave it a try since I was craving for a fat juicy burger all week anyway. It was a small little place inside A Venue and the first thing I saw when I went in was the RIDICULOUS Burger. I asked how big it was, since it costs 224 pesos to eat, and it was indeed huge. It’s an all-beef TRIPLE patty burger sandwiched in an oatmeal bun laced with lettuce, tomatoes, and three cheese slices. I was starving to death anyway so I decided to order it. The lady in the counter then asked me if I wanted to take the Challenge or enjoy my burger. Instinctively I said, “UH, ENJOY MY BURGER!”
Apparently, ever since the place started business, it had this fun promo called “The RIDICULOUS Challenge.” The rules were very simple, order a Ridiculous Burger, and tell the counter that you want to try the challenge. There’s only one rule, and that’s having to finish the burger in a span of 5 minutes from when you take it from the counter. If you are able to finish it, then the burger you’ve eaten is free. If you don’t finish it, you need to shell out 224 pesos for it. Winners can only win once, and there was a hall of fame board too. There were pictures of people who took the challenge and beat it. I had a friend of mine in one of the boards holding up a sign that said “I INVADED,” which was rather hilarious. A rather creative promotion and pretty amusing and tempting to do.
Outside that challenge, the burger was pretty tasty, the 3 patties were big and I can say that it was somehow worth the 224 bucks. It has a bunch of other special burgers in its menu also, a few names to note were “Crispy Bacon Melt,” or “Sexy Burgers,” or “Barbeque Bacon Buger.” They also have Rice and Pasta on their menu as well as on-the-side orders, normal burgers, sandwiches, and even dessert. The normal burgers would cost 80 pesos to 120 pesos depending on what type and how many patties you want. But everything ranges at around 100 pesos only. They also deliver within the Makati area, which is very convenient. The delivery number is 729-9108 with a minimum purchase of 200 pesos.
I’m definitely trying the other burgers, and I’m still thinking if I should humiliate myself by taking that sloppy challenge. I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to get it all in 5 minutes, but how I’m going to do it will be the sickest part. Sooo, I’ll probably stick to ordering takeout for now in the office and see how the other stuff tastes like. Definitely a must try though for all burger lovers out there.

The race to find the rest of the “Scylla” key cards has begun in the 3rd episode called “Shut Down” as Agent Self has threatened to put Michael and his team back to prison if they don’t find them all in time but he has also been given orders to shut the entire operation down. The nice thing about this episode is that we finally get to know that there are six high-ranking, powerful people in charge of all these atrocities thus the six key cards. William Fichtner, who plays Mahone, is in vendetta mode and is out for the man who killed his son. He also makes this conflicted character of his a pure joy to watch and is definitely one of the highlights of this season so far. I was thinking the episodes after the first two would be less riveting but it has kept at its pace. At least this season is proving to be worth that really long wait… so let’s hope it does so until the season ends.

This was so hilarious I could barely stop laughing at myself when I did it. You’ll probably go nuts trying to figure it out the first three times because as stubborn as I am, I didn’t want to give up. So can YOU outsmart your foot? I sure as hell can’t!
1. While sitting down, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.
2. While your foot is doing the circles, draw the number “6″ in the air with your right hand. You’ll notice that your foot will change direction!
And the annoying thing is that there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it! GO AHEAD AND KEEP TRYING

CBS is one of those prime time TV networks that have a pretty solid lineup night in and night out. It’s also the one with the most reality shows in its list such as Survivor, The Amazing Race, Big Brother, and the like. This Fall, they are looking to strengthen that lineup even further by adding some fresh new shows, and there are a few that seem quite promising. The older, more popular shows, will also have their new seasons kick off this September. Lara Spencer, of the Insider, takes us on a 20-minute special behind-the-scenes look at the hottest new dramas and funniest new comedies.
WORST WEEK
Prime time Monday nights starts off with Sam Briggs on September 22. He’s a good guy, who’s having the worst week, EVERY week. While trying to impress his future in-laws, he becomes a one-man wrecking crew. He’s got good intentions, but just terrible luck. And just when you think it can’t get any worse… it does. The plot sounds eerily familiar, but it will be interesting to see how he ends up when the season finishes. The preview seemed pretty funny and it’s something I’d try to watch, though it would be a challenge to see how the episodes after the first two will go.
