After the release of another one of Stephen King’s novels on to the big screen, I was pretty curious to see how it would turn out. I heard quite a few reviews, mostly good ones saying how great the twist of the ending was and all that. So I went on to download the torrent for it because I had to see what all the fuss was about.

The story revolves around a bunch of people from Maine, who are suddenly surrounded by a large mist that unleashes blood-thirsty creatures from another dimension to wreak havoc on… well.. Maine. Hehe Sounds like your stereo-typical B movie horror flick, but the way the characters were developed was pretty good. The utter HATRED I had for Mrs. Carmody in the movie, played by Marcia Gay Harden, was either testament to how great her character was developed, or how really annoying an actress she really is! But it was a joy to see how her life ended Oops sorry spoiler!

All in all, I was actually really into this movie, and was really curious how it would end considering they were all stuck in one supermarket, and anyone who went out of it would be grabbed by one of the creatures from another dimension and killed. Oooh scary But the ending… what a disappointment it was. I’m not going to spoil it here for those of you who haven’t watched the movie (like I did with Mrs Carmody, sorry!), but damn, it could have been so much better. I haven’t read Stephen King’s novella (yeah, for the culture-less like me, novella is supposed to mean short novel I think) and I don’t know how it ended, but I hope it was better than this one!

I would still recommend that you guys go watch this movie though. It might have been a lot better if I watched this on the big screen (though the ending would still suck), so maybe you guys should do that instead of downloading a 1.38 GB torrent, you damn pirates :p But if you’re too cheap to go watch this in the theater, the link to the torrent can be found below
